Hi there:

1) Double the data rate
2) Double the bus rate
3) Lower voltage (2.5v for DDR and 1.8v for DDR2)

DDR tens to the Primary Memory i.e the RAM.

RAM functioning is of two types.

1. SD RAM -> Single Data Recovery RAM
2. DDR RAM -> Double Data Recovery Ram.

the upgradation of the register organization technology in the DDR ram is the DDR2.
