A recliner chair has two positions. In the up position, you engage in things anybody would do while sitting down.

In the reclining positon, about the only thing you can do is to close your eyes and enjoy a nice rest or nap.

Pull the lever on your recliner is a slang term which means to lay back and rest... free your mind... stop trying to engage in activities and interaction with people or the TV. Shut down for a bit and enjoy a break.

One of the top brands of recliners in America has a lever on the side of the chair which reclines the chair and hoists the foot rest. Therefore, "pull the lever on the recliner" means sit back, relax and put your feet up.

There is usually a lever on the right side of the recliner chair that, when pulled, brings the foot rest up.

It means exactly what it means: Pull the lever on your recliner. It's saying sit in a chair a prop up the foot rest, that helps you calm down =]

A recliner is a special kind of comfortable armchair that can be tilted to various positions, including almost flat, as in a bed!
The lever is the thing you move to make the chair change positions.

I'm assuming you house-trained the puppy, right? Crate the dog, couple of hours at a time, with some rawhide (yes, the dog will whine and bark and howl; please do not reinforce that with attention). Crate the dog at night when you sleep. With some rawhide. Don't crate for longer than his bladder can take, but don't let him out unless you can keep a consistent eye on him. Don't provide the dog with old shoes or belts or old tee-shirts because the dog will think, "Oh. Leather is OK to chew. Cotton is OK to chew." The dog will not draw a distinction between grandpa's throw-away shoe and your wing-tips. When you see him chewing something he shouldn't, say "No!" (don't yell it) and give him rawhide. Make sure that the only thing you teach him is acceptable to chew is rawhide. Next? For real, man; you've bitten off more than you can chew, and you need a trainer.

It means to sit in your armchair/recliner stretch your legs, relax and don't give a damn about anything, at least as long as you are relaxing in your recliner. In other words, leave me in me world for now and tomorrow is another day!

That's how I see it.

It means to relax. Don't think so much.
