I saw this the other day and i thought it was really cool! I wanted to get it for my daughter's bathroom. I was hoping that someone who was an expert on fish could give me their opinion on this fish tank. is it safe for fish? freshwater only? ect ... Thanks!

the idea is cute, but I am skeptical. the tank is really too samll for any fish, and I'd be worried about poisoning from cleaning and the fact that it's a toilet.

I actually contacted thme about ti with a few questions, and they gave good answers and it would be possible to keep a fish in there, but only with a whole bunch of care that they fail to mention on their site. I just think it's a generally bad idea.

the only fish small enough would be a betta. you'd need a heater for it. I'm pretty sure it comes with a filter though. it's still inhumane because it's only like 1in wide, so the fish can barely turn around. you'd on;y be able to keep ONE fish in it, unlike what their picture shows, and you definitely wouldn't be able to keep goldfish in it, especially the number of goldfish they show.

it's a cute idea but i would never use it. it is too small. I would be concerned about toilet water getting into the fish water. If you have any chemicals in there it will kill them. If any cleaner leaks in when you are cleaning the outside they will die too. And i think the flushing would sound like 100 kids tapping heir fingers on the glass to the fish.

maybe with some fake fish?

I think the fish would be stressed by all the activity and noise (flushing, people sitting, etc). The tank is also very small, and there is a risk of contamination by cleaning chemicals.

I thinks that a creative idea but the fish would probaly get scared, possibly to death beacuse of the flushing. Also, chemicals might somehow get in the tank.

I think it's hysterical...but if you read the fine print ---it's only 2.5 gallons..that's really small. I certainly wouldn't put any saltwater fish in it...and maybe only some tiny freshwater fish...but it certainly wouldn't look as 'fish-filled' as the picture shows it.

It would be safe since its not sharing fresh water coming in from the main with the aquarium water. Freshwater only because salt water set up would need more gallon space....the only draw back would be cleaning it, and keeping it clean.

I saw that too and thought it would be interesting. I do wonder if it would freak out the fish. That would be stressful for them. But I suppose if you got something inexpensive and easy to start with like a goldfish it would be fun to give it a try.

It looks so small... It seems cruel to me. ...Unless the heater for the tank also heats the seat... then that wouldn't be so bad.

Besides, there are so many chemicals floating around & spilling in the bathroom of all rooms.... I think its a bad idea.
