If you mean 5.25 * 10^8 + 1.2 * 10^2 - 7.15 * 10^4,
then this is equal to 524,928,620.

Putting this in exponent form to 2 significant figures
(because 1.2 is only 2 significant figures), then the
answer is 5.2 * 10^8.

If, however, you mean 5.25^8 + 1.2^2 - 7.15^4,
then the answer is 574518.9627238525390625.

if you mean exp as in exponents...

5.25^8 is about 577,131.03(i'm rounding it for some reason).

1.2^2=1.44.

577,131.03+1.44=.....

577,132.47.

7.15^4 is about 2,613.51.

577,132.47-2,613.47=574,519.

the answer is about 574,519. i may be waaaaaay off but i hope not.
