How often do you have to buy socks?

You need to buy better socks if yours are wearing out so quickly. The high-end socks are made of ragg or merino wool reinforced at the heel and toe with nylon weave and fold stitched with Lycra at the top of the ribbed legging for a secure hold. I personally have no problem with ragg wool socks, though merino is softer.

There's a kind of luxury sock, also, that's a blend of alpaca and merino wool, but despite having the inner terry loops it isn't sturdy enough for a long-distance hiking sock.

The top brands are Smartwool and Bridgedale. But you can get good little-brand socks with high wool content.

Acrylic makes a decent winter hiking sock, but it may be too warm for summer. Wool, on the other hand, can be worn year-round. You can't go wrong with a mostly wool sock that has some nylon reinforcement at the pressure points.

Whenever I shop for clothes, I go to the clearance area and buy bargain socks. If I see a good Internet buy on bulk socks, I order a case. That can keep you going for a long time, and the case matches so you don't have to go around finding mates all of the time. For winter and outdoor socks I go to Sierra Trading and buy good wool socks from Ireland, England or Australia. They cost a few bucks but can last for 10 years. Best of luck to you!

Perhaps once or twice a year, at which time I buy lots, all the same. So, when a sock turns into a dust bunny under the bed (or just wears out), i haven't lost an entire pair.

Not too often, I hate socks and shoes, only wear them when its cold out. The minute I come home, they are off and in the laundry basket. If I have to go out again later, I get a new pair. I hate putting sweaty socks back on, yuck!

i purchase my husband socks very virtually each month..........he merely can't look to locate matching pairs. I despite if, infrequently placed on socks (i'm greater of a severe heels kinda female) yet, i admire the gorgeous printed ones for boots in the time of winter time. So, on each occasion I see those i might purchase it.

Constantly, there is a sock monster that lives in this house but he does not eat them in pairs. Leaves us with just one unmatched sock. I wish he would take both of them then I would not have this "sock" basket.
