as we find ouselves in a very difficult war, with issues we didn't know we would be facing, I still believe that the Iraqii people have a right to freedom. we can overcome the insurgency and, after all those decades of horrific living under hussein, how great for these people to know the freedom we enjoy.

Those that do support the government's actions in Iraq do so for one of two reasons: Profit, or gulliblity. Why did we go there, when Iraq was no immediate threat to us?
Why was Bush so hell-bent on attacking Iraq? Why did he lie to get us there? The same reason he is against allowing Americans to purchase drugs from Canada. The same reason he wants to give federal wilderness lands to the oil companies. The same reason he didn't object to the selling of American ports and security to Dubai until he was pressured to do so, The same reason he gave Halliburton no-bid, blank-check contracts (so much for competition and free enterprise!). The same reason he cuts government programs for the poor while giving multi-million dollars to wealthy individuals.
For Bush, and even moreso for Cheney, it's all about wealth and power. War helps consolidate his power. Lucrative no-bid contracts put money into the pockets of the wealthy. And it is the wealthy, for the most part, who finance campaigns. For Bush, that is more important than honesty, integrity, American lives, and certainly more important than the lives of tens of thousands of innocent Iraqis.

I don't support our government's actions in Iraq.
There was never anything in Iraq worth one American life, let alone more than 3,000 of them.
I believe in and support our troops, who go and deploy and lay their lives on the line regardless of the fact they they were sent there by an inept and reckless "president".

I hate this war, but to be honest, I have no choice but support it! If we don't fight terrorists there, they will battle us here. Can you image how many 9/11 will happen if we let the terrorists grow stronger? We may make many sacrifices now for better future rather than wait for the worst come without taking any action!

Well, after hearing some stories from the soldiers and marines over there, there is at least some good happening for the Iraqi people. It's easy to disapprove when you don't see the benefits happening. It was bad how we went in, but there is some good resulting.
