Truly it depends on the girl. I find that I like a combination. If you would like to offer a gift to someone special for Valentine's Day try something that offers a bit of both. Like perhaps a single rose and a poem you've written yourself. Or do something different like taking her somewhere where you can participate in doing something together. I know there are places where you can go and both watch chocolates being made and participate. Before my husband and I were married and afterwards he would always give me either a rose or a card & then serenade me, of course he is a musician so not everyone can pull that idea off. If you decide to go with buying...little stuffed toys or animals with heart themes always get a girl to say awwwww. After an 18 yr relationship, I know what appeals to me.

I think you cannot generalize about girls or women like that.
Honey, you will be wrong everytime, so just give it up. It'll make you crazy.
I think you need to just pay attention to the wants of the woman you are buying a gift for. This is hard to do. You have to listen to her hints about what to get her....and then there is always a Personalized gift!
Something with her name on it...But you have to act now to get it in time. You will get MEGA points for thinking ahead!

i prefer something from the heart. something that means a lot to her and says a lot about your relationship in general. if you have been together for years, take her to the first place you ever went together, if you 2 have a specific song, buy the cd. it requires a lot of thinking, but if you know the person well you can come up with the perfect thing. poetry written by you is always a good thing, does she collect anything in particular? put some serious thought into it and come up with the one thing the is the total meaning of your relationship. Good luck to you!

Both, but better yet...a nice dinner for two at home by candlelight with some flowers and romantic music. Skip the chocolate unless you know she's a chocolate freak and if that's the case...go for the syrup. LOL

I myself would prefer a homemade gift. It means u put time, emotions recallin memories together & effort in it..not money, which makes it worth more to me.

Homemade for sure, something that you put your heart and soul into...something that shows that you care enough to take the time to do something creative for me...buying something is easy, making or planning something for me is what counts. All I want is time, attention and affection.

selfmade presents take so lots greater time so I decide to cause them to myself through fact then the guy who you made it for is conscious that it substitute into for them. shop offered presents are super too yet merely understanding somebody took that added time to make something is going a protracted way.
