I think that voters in all states should be required to show a photo ID as proof of identity. It is an essential first step in combatting voter fraud. You have to show an ID when traveling by train or plane, opening a bank account, and even to get a library card. Why should the most important responsibility of American citizens be handled in a much more cavalier manner?

How can one function without a photo I.D. , this issue was also raised in Missouri. It failed because people said that would require poor people to purchase and id which would be unfair and blah blah blah. I think most people have one and if a few people don't then require some other documentation or somethin give them a free photo id. This will help prevent voter fraud or people voting multiple times, you would think in this day and age we would have some system more sophisticated to prevent fraud.

Oh my gosh what will they think of next? I think if I have to show ID to rent a movie at Hollywood Video, I think asking for ID at the polls would just be a no brainer.

Find out who opposes this, I bet its got ACLU written all over it.

Bruce, it just might work! Ink fingers.
