The below link to Wikipedia shows many films that were supposedly at one time banned in the United States. Keep in mind, however, that there are likey far more since local government bodies (city councils, county commissioners) have long acted as moral guardians of the people and exterted formal and informal pressure on theater owners to not display "harmful" films.
The term "banned" is subject to clarification as well. The wikipedia article mentions that the film "The Profit" is one of only two films currently banned in the US. One usually uses the word "banned" to suggest that the content of the film somehow breaches the law. In the case of "The Profit" it's exhibition is simply held by injunction pending the resolution of a lawsuit. That hardly qualifies as "banned" in the common use of the word.

Only two films are currently banned in the United States - Superstar: The Karen Carpenter story because of copyright infringement, and The Profit - a satire of a $cientology-like cult for supposed libel.
