I have an HP pavilion 4500 and Im trying to hook it up to my tv via s-video....it displays the desktop on the tv but i have to drag everything over to the tv monitor. How can i make the tv display the same thing as the laptop similtaneously? Thanks for the help:)

Yep, ToPe's right. Hold down the Fn key while it's hooked up, and look at the icons printed in a light blue or gray on your keyboard keys. There'll be an icon that looks like two monitors or boxes overlapping. When you hit that key while holding down Fn, most laptops will display a series of choices. One extends your desktop onto the screen while another duplicates it. Just use your arrow keys to select the one you want, and hit enter.

Press "Fn" and something... one which looks like a monitor!
to send the image on your laptop to the tv completely

your video card is in "dualview" mode... change it to "clone" mode... right click in the background hit "properties" go to the "settings" tab... hit the "advanced" button near the bottom... i dont know what video card you comp has... so thats as far as i can get you...
