i am very white and tall and curvy. i have dark hair and man shoulders. what kind o f dress should i get for prom? color and style and cut and everyhting.

Well lala I would first like to to say that I doubt you are nearly as bad as you think you are. One thing you learn as you get older is all girls think there is something wrong with their bodies and the men in our life think we are nuts for it.
That aside, your tall so you can go with a floor length if you like, but honestly a knew length is so much easier to work with through out the night. Plus you should show off those long legs that all of us short girls hate you guys for.
Your pale so you can do one of two things. Go with a bright color. Stay away from too dark since it will make you look more pail and pastels will blend in. Jewel tones will work best. Or, you can do what I, and a majority of my friends do, get a spray tan. No need to get cancer in the tanning booths but you can get a spray tan for about 20 bucks. Can't make it to the salon get Nutregena build-a-tan.
As for the shoulders don't do a halter or spaghetti straps. Check out a strap with at least a 1/4 inch to it. This will minimize the bulk of a muscular shoulder. You may also want to check out a sweetheart neckline but stay away from boat necks.
Stick with a delicate heel so you don't look to heavy at the bottom and keep the make up light.

'get a light colour. go try on some different styles, try on styles that you would never try on you just might be surprised at what they look like on. Get something comfortable you're going to be in it all night. get something you can SIT in too. a lot of girls get these beautiful dresses and then can't sit down and have to stand up all night. Hope that helps a little.
