To me being Filipino is being a mix of different cultures and ethnic backgrounds arising from the same country- my parents are from the Philippines and they consider themselves pure Filipino. I have very pale skin (from Mom), am slim but not extremely petite and my last name is not Spanish, but French. My Dad's own father and his own sisters look like a typical Italian or light Hispanic (one of them dyes her hair blonde and even looks natural in it) but they are very proud of being ILOCANO and speak the dialect well! My aunt even gets angry when she's not seen acknowledged as Pinay! To those who say they are, do you think it's even appropriate to say you are "Filipino with Chinese and Spanish blood" when really, being Filipino in itself is being a mix of different bloodlines anyway?

no. no such thing as "pure" filipino. Filipino is more of a nationality and a culture, in a sense.

most of the Filipinos living in the cities (i.e., Baguio, Manila, Cebu, Davao, etc.) are already so mixed, you seldom can't tell which came from what race, unlike Malaysia.

my maternal side are chinese & indonesian, my paternal side are malay-indian and chinese.

so far the gene mix is working pretty well....

I Don’t think of so. because of the fact I even have many Filipino acquaintances (the two boys and ladies). a million. The unusual ingredient is maximum of them have husband or spouse in Philippines. on the comparable time they're protecting boy/female acquaintances right here, and that they are waiting to even proportion intercourse with them. 2. the 2d worst ingredient I even have observed that, they're only proud that, they're the only amazing human beings in the international. 3. In my experience, Philippines is a poor usa, lots of the Filipinos don't have stable residing situations, even in spite of the undeniable fact that they are only adapting, what American’s are doing. Even in the cosmetics 4. they do no longer seem to be comparative to different electorate. they're going to watch, the colour, gown, even his character, till now commencing communication. 5. evaluate to different areas of the international, Filipinos are no longer that a lot appropriate as you mentioned. 6. in the employer situations, lots of the Filipinos are making hardship to employer administration, only for uncomplicated themes. those are the priority, which I even have observed, for the period of my previous ten years experience with Filipinos.
