We moved into an older house dated in the 1950s, and my spouse and son have seen shadows in the basement and throughout the house. Our dog Monty and cat on occasion would act up and respond as if there was someone actually there. We are curious to know what this means?

It could be 'shadow people', they are not believed to be ghosts, but no one can say for sure not enough data on them.
Most people who have had them in their house say that they sense evil from them.

Could be anything really. A shadow cast from another dimension, an impression left over from some other time. There are dimensional "windows' in various spots in the Earth. Perhaps your home is one of them. Unless you get bad "vibes" from it, I wouldn't concern myself much.

You have mice. I'm serious. It has happened to me several times, that out of the corner of my eye I see shadows, but when I look, there's nothing there. It has always turned out shortly afterwards that I find evidence of rodent infestation. Get the D-Con poison at Home Depot. It causes them to go outside to die, because it gives them a great thirst. That way they won't die inside your walls, and you won't have to deal with corpses. Be very careful to place it where your pets and children cannot reach it.

You have earth bound spirits tell them to go to the light they are dead, they may not know they are dead and too scared to go to the light I have sent many to the light.

You have a ghost (or spirit). Tell them to leave and that it is your house now and they have to go, they will and everything will be fine. Even if you don't "get rid" of them, they can't hurt you.

if you are a believer in Christ...you have the power, in Jesus name, to cast the spirits from your house,... not to sound freaky but it is true that evil spirits often remain in houses once occupied by sinful people...you need to get rid of them...
