i have 4 seperate led lights in my number plate that i put in they worked fine with normal filiment bulbs on the brake light side only i have now fitted led brake light bulbs they work fine until i put the head lights on ,the led number plate lights come on with out touching the brake ( i have only wired them to brake light side only ) ?

The problem is in the head light wiring.Check wire color code again.

I agree, you should check to ensure that you have wired the positive leads of the LEDs to the brake light positive circuit (use a circuit tester probe/bulb to confirm this). It is also possible, though, that the LEDs could be lighting with the headlight circuit on by picking up an electronic pulse through the common ground wire (I have run into a similar problem, with LED tail/brake lights flashing with turn signals when they are activated due to such pulses on the ground circuit). To eliminate this feedback, use diodes to isolate the LEDs from such pulses.

Many LED bulbs require a load equaliser in order to function correctly.

You'll need to check the wiring using a multi-meter, with standard and LED bulbs fitted, to see if there is a difference.

I don't think you have it wired to the brake light. did you try the other wire?
