Mothers in particular. My mom, my friends mother, and a lot of people i know what have mothers always get the mood swings, which make them seem a little "off". But you know what, I push that aside and think maybe it's just mood swings. Sometimes I do think my mother is crazy though ( not exaggerating ). The emotional break downs have to stop. Anyways, is this something that happens to most women when getting older? I wanna know because I sometimes wonder if I am going to be HIGH,LOW, MAD,HAPPY,IN,OUT like that. My dad doesn't do it and when he does it's so rare. It's like he just sits there and chill. So sorry if it seems like I am generalizing. This is just what I see and know.

Oh and wait, these aren't just the typical mood swings. It's the abnormal kind.

Sorry Charley. She is normal and so are you. If you only knew all that your mother must deal with. Shopping, laundry, stains, money, men, kids, cleaning, dealing with schedules, and the list is never ending. Your dad, in reality has different concerns and can handle them. The wife has to help dad deal with his work, car repairs, and cleaning the garage. The list goes on. Children are extremely critical of parents because they have no idea what an adult must face. Being adult looks so easy at your age but wait until you are one and then you will understand. Hopefully your mother will be around for you to apologize for your attitude. Now that I am alone and a grandma, I am cool and collected but if you could have seen me then, ggggggggrrrrrrrrr!!!!!

13 year olds are either starting puberty or already have been introduced to it. Hormones are raging inside and mood swings are a part of teenage stages. As long as the mood swings or the attitudes don't conflict with the 13 year olds life or the lives of others, it's normal. I remember being mad at the world. It's part of growing up.

It could be menopause, the hormones are everywhere for some women during that period, but you should look up her symptoms, if there's more than just being emotional, because there are some illnesses that make people's emotions fly.

One I can think of off the top of my head is Multiple Sclerosis, it's an illness of the nervous system. Try this site, http://www.webmd.com/ and make sure she's not ill!
