Your programs and games need to stay on the C drive with your OS. Use the E drive for music, video and other data files. You can drag and drop.

Moving files after you have installed programs and referenced music/movie files through other programs is a headache. You have to be careful in what you move.
It would be best to just put new stuff on the new drive and leave the old stuff alone, unfortunately. Note that some programs get very cranky when they're not on C:, though.

It depends on what files you want to move. The data files - no problem. such as pictures, video files, mp3 files.
If you move the files installed, in most cases, it won't work except you know how to configure the changes.
e.g. the games you installed. You may uninstalled from C:, then re-installed on D: - during the installation, you can select where you want to install, select D and create a folder name if you like.
If you want to move entire drive from C to D, you may use some software, like Ghost, or trueImage: do back up C, then restore to D.

If you mean you want to move your drive C: to another, you cant do it that way, C: drive usually contain operating system and program files.
Windows and those application creates setting, registry and other unable to moved to. It wont works if you just copy paste it on other drive.
The only way is install new operating system and application on your D:, yes, ALL

The circulate cable will artwork, in spite of the undeniable fact that that's obscenely costly. For saved video games, it may be greater low-value to purchase a 256MB reminiscence unit, then circulate them between consoles that way. you may redownload any greater effective DLC on the recent hard rigidity. it will take longer, yet save you loads of money in the long-term.

no....windows creates registeries for each program that is installed onto the sys...so it is virtually impossiblwe to shift ur windows drive to another drive......u ll end up messsing up everything...as far as games go ...most games can run on dumps...that means that u may be able to shift ur game folder to another drive wid out any trouble...but again it depends on wat game u watnt to shift
