The easiest way to open a picture on your desktop is to grab the image ICON with your mouse and drag it onto your browser ICON by holding down the right mouse button, don't click it, just hold it down and drag the image ICON until it is over the the location you require then release the mouse button. The browser can be 'Explorer' or 'Firefox' etc. The image will then open in your 'Browser' . Your 'Browser' can open any type of image (.jpg, .gif etc , etc). If you want to move the image into another folder, create the folder, open it, and drag the image ICON over the folder, then release the right mouse button, the image will then have been moved from your desktop into the new folder, you should get a message while doing this, to ask if you are sure you want to move this file.

Click on any picture but keep the left mouse button held down then drag it onto the screen. Nothing to it.

Please restate your question. It doesn't make sense. What software are you using - what's the application - what are you trying to do?
