"The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People." by Stephen R. Covey.

It addresses life decisions and issues with consistent prinicples. It's based more on philosophy rather than faith (which the Bible handles.)

When you read "7 Habits," you realize that you're not hearing new ideas, but instead recognizing principles and laws that you already knew. Sometimes we forget the basics in our hurry hurry hurry lives. This book helps you remember.

The Four Agreements by Don Miguel Ruiz. I have read hundreds of such books, clinical to lay material, and I'd give a copy of this to anyone I meet because it is so simple, so useful and so short to read. Anyone can apply ONE PRINCIPLE from this book nad have a better life.

The Bible. Every life lesson a person needs is in there. Rules to live by, what not to do, how to treat people, what to do with ur money, how to raise ur kids, and the fact that good DOES overcome evil. Ya can't beat it.
