A Polar Bear or an Alligator?

Alligator no doubt. Thus Alligator beats Polar Bear, and Steve Irwin beats Alligator = Steve Irwin beats Polar Bear!

Depends on the environment. Heat is an advantage for the lizard but a disadvantage for the polar bear. Coldness is an advantage for the bear but a huge disadvantage for the cold-blooded alligator.

In warm, fresh water, the alligator could grab onto the bear and drown it. In freezing cold water like the polar bear is used to, the bear would have the advantage because the alligator would be lethargic. On land, temperature is still a factor, but the bear would probably win whether it was warm or cold because of its vastly superior size, weight, and strength.

Even a mere tiger, much lighter and weaker than a bear, can kill a crocodile, which isn't much different from an alligator. (See link below.)

The polar bear is big and slow but has nasty claws and teeth. They wouldnt break the skin of an aligator as easy as it might any other animal. I would say the aligator cause its skin would be a good defense against the polor bears claws and teeth. There could be a chance the polar bear could sit on its mouth and take away the aligators weapons and suffocate it but it is not as likely as the alligator could move quick and go for the kill. My vote is for the aligator.
