I'm amazed at how Juwan Howard and Dikembe Mutombo have stepped up. This team will be a serious threat in the Western Conference if Yao can stay healthy in the 2nd half of the season.

Not really shocked. Houston's offense and defense are not focussed on Yao alone. Without him, the Rockets still have T-Mac to contribute 20-30 plus points nightly, and Deke still good for 10 rebs and 2 blks per game despite his age. And they also have Head and Skip shooting from downtown.

Not at all
Yao as the man was horrile for houston last year and they went into the lottery
yao going down allows McGrady to be the man which is the key to houston's success and also gives an opportunity to a 3,000 year old Mutombo who actually tries on defense and still outrebounds yao
yao is a career loser, always will be

Umm T-Mac is the man so there should be no surprise.
And Dikembe has been practicing waving that finger so theres no stopping the rockets.

well they still do have tmac and he is a great player. and houston has one of the if not the best defense in the nba. so they have that to fall back on when their offense aint there

i'm not shocked at all. they have the # 1 rated defense in the league. and they're not too shabby offensively either. tracy mcgrady has been on a tear lately.
