Have you ever had someone ask you: "Are you coming with"? Instead of saying: "Are you coming with ME"?

I hear this more and more nowadays and it's like fingernails on a chalkboard to my ears! Anyone else bugged by this?

Oh hell yeah. Not that I'm perfect or anything, far from it in fact, but bad grammar and stupid little plays on words like that are highly annoying. The worst is when people end a sentence with the word "at" as in "Where's my car at?" or something like that.

That one doesn't bother me as much as news presenters
(and other people who routinely speak in public) mispronouncing their words. That commercial for Energizer batteries where the announcer says, "...there's something FERMILIAR inside..." makes me want to smack whoever edited the damned thing!!! Pronouncing 'vulnerable' as 'vunnerable' and 'nuclear' as 'nucular' annoys the everlovin' crap out of me too. It just seems to me that, if a person is going to use the word, they ought to take the time to make sure they're both pronouncing and using it correctly.

"Are you coming?" is OK, but to leave the dangling particle is like the chalkboard thing you mentioned. Also, I agree if you are going to use the "with" then you need to add the "me",

I have never ever heard this. When I lived on East Coast, I DID hear, "Are you coming wit' me?" a lot from my family. I LOVE that!

I could say this is a result of laziness in speech, and yet, it's so similar to other incorrect usage, like "where we going to?" Put it in the category with "me and you." It's just plain incorrect. And the pity of it is, many of those who use it, KNOW it's wrong. It's like rebellion through incorrect grammar.

I started hearing that years ago. It sort of faded out and I guess is coming back. It was annoying then, and still is now.

I've heard quite a few people say it . . . I never noticed, much less paid attention. I can safely say it doesn't really bother me.

I find it kind of annoying, but just ignore it, something more obnoxious is bound to come along.
