Aw, why would you want to shoot such a funny looking creature. You shouldn't be terrified of him- he's actually a good thing. Not only do possums keep the insect and bug population down- but him being at your window means he's not taking out the electricity on your whole block by hanging from power lines. This happens about 50,000 times a year and is one reason why people pay taxes- to repair electric lines.

WHY?? Those things are funnier than hell!!!!! I'd enjoy it myself but there you go, one girls creepy stuff is usually a boy's joy.
Okay. Try this, spray some ammonia around your window, and window sill, then close the window. The animal will not want to be where that ammonia is. Repeat if necessary. If it is a smart little bugger it will get the message the first time around. If it is a stupid little creature then it will be necessary to repeat the repellent.
And yes it is probably illegal to shoot the creepy little creature.

Possums are nocturnal, it will not hurt you. It would be terrified of you. I can not see the reasoning to shoot it. It is harmless. Unfortunately, many wild animals are being forced into neighborhoods because their environments are being depleted due to the people who need to make an "impression" and move into one of these new housing developments. What are the animals to do?

what is wrong with possums... they will not harm you in any way. There scared of you and the only time they become tame of humans is when they feed them etc etc. No need to kill it.
If your really worried about it you could just scare it away by banging on the window or something like that.

They are nocturnal so yes they come out at night, There must be a food source near by or it's living in you attic. Just another of God's harmless creature so there is no need to hurt it just keep you window closed and it will stay out. NO. It is not out to get you.

Call your local County Extension Agent or State Fish, Wildlife and Parks. They are tax funded offices that have information on animal pests.
Opossums carry a variety of diseases, including a nasty virus that causes a fatal disease in horses. It doesn't need to be around your home.

I would be cautious around it. They do have sharp teeth and can bite if cornered. There are animal traps you can borrow or buy to trap and relocate them or just call your state's animal control officers. They can tell you if it is against the law to shoot the animal. It would be best to just move it rather than kill it.

Get a large dog and keep it by the window and the thing will go away! I am sure it isn't out to get you but they are scary! And ugly!! Or call animal control and have them get it!! Good luck!

use bugs sprays or slap them with the broom stick if that doesnt work then just sleep some where else so you wouldnt even worrying so much about them beingin close by to you . if you wanna to use the vacuum cleaner to suck them out from youre window .
