I love the smell of NICE hotels. I have come to believe that it is the indoor pools that give them the scent. Maybe the cleaners. I'm talking about NICE hotels, not run down motels that smell like smoke and dirt. Anyone know the reason they smell the way they do? And if so is it something I can buy?

The indoor pool smell all depends on how close you are to the pool, but the chlorine can cause that along with people walking around the halls after they have been in the pool. Mainly it's the cleaners that they use and generally maids spray the room down with something that kills any odors and smells pretty good.

I've sure the hvac air sanitizing systems most use plays a big part in the cleanliness and clean smell of the air.

If these NICE hotels are big national, (or perhaps international), hotel chains, then they might have their own secret cleaning formula that they don't want their guests to use at their home.
