i only have a one sided view on this but i have been married since i was 18 and now im 23. still married and loving it very much. best relationship i have ever had. but there have been times that i thought that it happened too quickly and still have thoughts sometime of how different my life could have been. dont get me wrong i have had alot of memories and fun when i was younger but gettng married was just the right choice for me and it should be for you. so if you truly believe that you are ready then go for it. life is to short to not do the things you wish to. dont worry about the societal standpoint. have fun. sometimes we make mistakes but if you dont we never learn

Like everyone has already said, it depends if youre ready. I was 20 when I got married. We had been engaged for 2 years and 1 day.. together before that for like 3 months I think. Were almost at our three year mark and its still like being a newlywed for the most part. If you are having any doubts, dont do it. If you arent living together yet, try that first if you dont have all the religious issues against that. Living with someone will let you see them in a whole new light... the light you will see them in forever after you get married. Good luck.. follow your heart.
I noticed a lot of people are saying live first, explore, travel, etc... you can still do that with a spouse. I love doing all that with my husband.. its like having my best friend around all the time. :)

I did to a man 10 years older. I wish I could say I am completely in love. We have 3 children and am in turmoil about leaving with them. It's not what I ever wanted, marriage to me should be for ever. If I had not been so needy and wanting to be loved I would not be where I am now. As it turns out I have never really been loved and wish I had not married. But then I wouldn't have the wonderful children I have today! My man is a good man, just not right for me. I have many needs which he doesn't fulfill. I was desperate as I thought no man would want me. depends on your situation - If you think your anything like me, leave it until you are really ready! You should be comfortable by yourself before you engage in marriage.

A lot depends on that hun... how long have to known this guy? How do you feel about him? Do you even know what you want? Is this your first boyfriend? Do you feel you've had enough experiences?
A marriage can be successful or fail miserably but age essentially has nothing to do with it. You have to care for each other, love each other and have the desire to make it work no matter what problems arise. It's a commitment. Good luck!

I can't say for sure, but I will say that I don't think anyone at 21 really knows what they want in life or who they really are. I got married at 22 and was divorced 5 yrs later. Now I'm a 28 yr old single mom trying to figure who I am and what I want to do. So think about your future and who you really want to be someday.

that really depends on the person you are and the person you are with. if you are truly in love with the person, why not? but if you have any doubts at all... trust me, don't do it.
i am only 20 and i've only been married for 5 months, but i couldnt be happier. i have a baby on the way, but things overall are good.. so it just depends on you.

since you're asking, probably not. when it's the right time and the right person, you won't feel the need to ask anyone for advice, you'll just know. when in doubt, do not rush into marriage, you will only regret it later.
Take care, and best wishes

I waited until I was older, and I'm glad I did. I got a lot of stuff out of my system. I learned to fly, took up skydiving, raced motorcycles, traveled, and basically got a lot of wildness out of my system.

I think that at 21, you are too young. Live life, travel, explore your future.
