I want your opinion on the best brand of condom and why, and really how effective are condoms? Is it really 99.9%? Also, are the only ways for a condom to break is if the condom is expired or if you are having rough sex?

Nothing has been done to prove that one brand is superior to another. I have also heard that Trojans are the best, but it is just an opinion.

"The breakage rate for condoms is 2 out of 100. Of every 100 couples who use condoms incorrectly and inconsistently, 14 will experience a pregnancy during the first year of use. Of every 100 couples who use condoms correctly and consistently, only 3 will experience a pregnancy."

The following links have good information on the proper way to use condoms (there are some little-known tips in there- read 'em!)

We use condoms most often...I have been sexually active for a long time now and have only gotten PG when i wanted 2. So yes they are very effective...I think the trojans are the best with lubrication. A few years ago there were some crappy condoms out called Today that broke everytime we used them...just shoddy merchandise...stupid things. Stick with the Trojans!

The best condom is the one that you and your partner find to be mutually agreeable.

A condom that hasn't been put on correctly, or one that is being used with insufficient lube, is one that will break.

Further, there is no single method of birth control, and no combination of birth controls methods, that is 100% effective.

no form of protection is completely safe. DO NOT use Durex. those things break way to easily. Your best bet would to stick to good ol' reliable trojan. I dont think i know anyone who has ever been let down by trojan.
