What does it mean when your ears ring? I was told it means someone is talking about you. Left ear good, right ear bad. But how do you know who is talking about you?

You don't it's an old wives tale to tell because no one really know why it happens, try asking and ENT DR he might know.

I always heard that as soon as your ear starts ringing, you start to say the alphabet in your head .. a ..b..c..d..e..f, etc .... you continue until your ear stops ringing (even starting over if you have to) .. whatever name pops into your head that starts with the letter you were on when your ear stopped ringing, is the person that is/was talking about you.

I don't believe in such things, but it's fun to do. I JUST did this yesterday :)

Wow, if that is true, people are constantly talking about me. The ringing in my ears, however, is due to being in the Army and the job I performed in there.

I've heard a variation on that. It was told to me if your ears are burning someone is talking about you. It’s said that when the left ear is burning loving things are being said about you, if it’s the right then there are spiteful things being said.

You know who is talking about you because their mouth is moving.
