Well, there really isn't a "plain" explanation for the technology behind the Internet. Basically, the Internet is a collection of shared systems and resources that are accessible via a connected computer. Each system / resource is accessed by a unique, numeric address assigned to that resource. A feature called DNS (domain name service) allows the numeric addresses to be reached by names such as microsoft.com to ease usage.

As an example, Microsoft.com has a unique numeric address of 207.46.197.32, but you just need to type in microsoft.com in your web-browser.

You may want to read the Wikipedia entry for more detailed information.

I suggest this reverse phone lookup service: http://reversephone.toptips.org

It's a cheap service that works great!
It could be used for a much deeper search. You can use it to get hold of different varieties of background reports, and in addition cell numbers, addresses and names..
you can get unlimited reports... I ran with this because I required to verify more numbers. You can get the name, other phone number, address history, relatives, and much more about anyone!
The completly free reverse phone lookup generally doesn't provide anything interesting. To get interesting information, money will must be paid. The free searches don't provide considerably more than what may be found through the phone directory.
The reverse phone detective search tool does work, but you should use just the service that I posted above. The last thing you want to do, is pay for a service and find the numbers you want to lookup are not available in their directory.
The service that I reccomend doesn't have any kind of problem , you won't get any bad surprise!

Think of it like a giant phone company. Instead of a phone number, you get a "URL" (Unique Resource Locator). It yours, and yours alone. To communicate with another internet location, you send it's "URL" and wait for it to answer. A tool on your computer called a "browser" lets you do this without you needing to know the URL of the other end (or your own URL, for that matter). You get access to the internet through an "ISP", or "Internet Service Provider". For a fee, the ISP gives your computer a place to connect to the internet, and may offer other services, like e-mail, news services, etc.

Once you have an ISP, you hook up to the net and use "search engines" (computer programs that search the available internet connections for things you specify) that give you a pages of references for you to look at (web pages). These browsers and search engines find out the URL's of the web pages for you, so you don't need to know them.

It's an easy to use, fascinatingly huge repository of information. You can bank, shop, learn, explore, and generally entertain yourself for hours on end!

Hope this helped.

This is the best option for a reverse phone number lookup https://tr.im/721a7
Receiving a one or two hang up calls each month is probably nothing to worry about, but when those calls increase in frequency and if it happens in the middle of the night then you must do something to stop it, before it starts affecting your life. With the help of this services you can take away the one advantage these people have - their anonymity.

Every computer that is connected to the Internet is part of a network, even the one in your home. For example, you may use a modem and dial a local number to connect to an Internet Service Provider (ISP). At work, you may be part of a local area network (LAN), but you most likely still connect to the Internet using an ISP that your company has contracted with. When you connect to your ISP, you become part of their network. The ISP may then connect to a larger network and become part of their network. The Internet is simply a network of networks.

In short, the "internet" is this collection of millions of computers talking to eachother.

The internet became possible when someone figured out -technically- a really easy way to allow computers to talk to each other, and *then* figured a way to make everyone agree to use this same way.

Then, someone figured a way to make it really easy for you to see documents on someone else's computer. Now, if you wrote an essay (for instance), put it in a public place on your computer, and told people where to find it, anyone in the world could see it.

Finally, someone figured a way to make it easy for people to find information on other people's computers without having to be told where it was.

The result looks like one big intelligent computer but it's still actually a whole bunch of little computers talking to eachother over wires.

Well your computer sends information to the hosting company of the website you are going to. And they send you back there information. Which displays the graphics and text on your screen with a code called html. Think about it like calling up your friend but getting an image instead of a voice. Thats basically it.

reverse phone number search compiles hundreds of millions of phone book records to help locate the owner's name, location, time zone, email and other public information.

Use a reverse phone lookup to:
Get the identity of an unknown caller.
Identify an area code.
Recall the name of a person whose number you wrote down.
Identify an unfamiliar phone number that shows up on your bill.

Image you have made a presentation for your company. for the first page you may put the name of company, address, telp.
For next page you may put the company profile, then your product, then bla bla bla. And you save it on a PC so people can watch and browse it on your office's front room.
Internet just the same, people makes site then allow people to take a look around, but on they own PC, not the sitemaster's PC.
It means people can access it even in a long distance.
Got it?
