I am currently taking classes and I am currently majoring in marketing, how important is it to have a minor in school do you think? Advisers are more or less useless, and my friends shrug.

It can be incredibly useful. Lets pretend for a moment you have graduated and are looking for work. You see a job ad for a great position. One problem... they are looking for a soc. or psych. degree and marketing experience (this is a real life scenario, a local clinic had this ad). Well, you could at least get an interview because your resume listed your marketing degree, with a minor in psych (just thrown out as an example).

Anything you can put on your resume is a +++
