Be sure you don't have a firewall up, but be sure your computer has permission to connect to your router. If you have a secured network connection (and you should) You have a key you must enter to access the net through your network. Try to temporarily forget about the other computers and concentrate on connecting yours without changing your network name. If your name is different it will see you as an outsider and not allow access. I hope this helps! See the sites below for more help, they tend to word it better than I do! Good Luck! =)

If you mean others can connect wirelessly too, then your wireless card/adapter might be the problem. Do the following steps:
1. Open a DOS box (run cmd)
2. type ipconfig /release
this closes all network connections (wired/wireless)
3. type ipconfig /renew
this refreshes your network connections
This should give you an idea what's wrong.
e.g. usually, your default gateway is 255.255.255.0
local ip address is 192.168.1.1 - default linksys setting
I've had the same problem with my Dell Inspiron 1150 until I realized my wireless card was the culprit. It was cheaper to buy the Netgear USB adapter ($39.99 at RadioShack - on sale at that time).

while you're employing Win XP. if so, on the backside authentic of your demonstrate (in the equipment tray) there could be a image of a working laptop or pc with little squiggly "radio wave" lines. i assume it fairly is the place you're seeing the forged sign. click on that icon. (in case you have not have been provided that, pass to the administration panel, hit community connections, and choose your prompt connection to get to the same place). as quickly as there, hit the button close to the backside authentic that declares "view prompt networks". click on that and you may see your interior sight prompt community displayed. Hit the refresh community record button close to the precise left (just to verify) and spotlight your interior sight community and hit the connect button close to the backside authentic. (in case you have been already linked then disconnect and then hit connect back just to refresh it). have been you able to connect? are you able to apply the internet? If not, do one greater element. Hit the beginning up button and choose run and then variety "cmd" and hit enter to open a command (DOS) window. variety "ipconfig" and hit enter. in case you be conscious of networking fundamentals, then attempt to ping the gateway handle.

Check to make sure that the router isn't blocking your mac address. Also, make sure that you ran through the setup of home or small office network in My Network Places.

it may just be a browser problem. if you upgraded to IE7, try to switch back to IE6. but before switching back, try to turn off security program first; turn it off then try to browse.
