My 18 year old daughter is moving out-of-state Saturday February 3rd and we wanted to do a mother/daughter thing this coming Friday, but it can't be too costly and we can only be gone about 2-3 hours while my mother watches the baby.
Choices I have thought of:
1) Lunch and a movie
2) Take her to get her hair styled and nails done.
3) Go shopping for new household small items or anything else that interests her.
4) Other suggestions welcome.

Thank you

Movie . . . no. Go share doing something where you are in each others visual presence and talking together.

Like your ideas of shopping, nails (not hair) done, lunch. Maybe also stop into a bookstore and buy her a special book, art, photo album, special interest topic, travel etc. that you want her to take with her to her new place. While in the bookstore, hang around the humor section and share some good laughs.

And, your right . . . it does not have to cost alot. It's really about the time together.

Humor, conversation, hugs, soak up her presence, look at her, absorb that memory of the outing you two are sharing.

Smiles to you both.

1) Lunch is definitely nice. Movie, you might not get to spend time with her, to talk.
2) Hair styled & nails done at the salon would be nice....
3) Shopping for items might be good for her, but still not enough "both of you" time. Just rushing around to find things. I just think that if you want to give something, send it later in a care package or give a gift card. I was going to say #3, but thought about it a little more....So I will go with....
4) Other - Lunch & Salon (massage/pedicure/manicure). Lunch will be time for you to spend together, and salon to relax before the move.

Well all of though things would be nice but taking her shopping for the things she'll need sounds best. A manicure only lasts about a week and the others will only last a little while. But helping her get started with her new life is something she will thank you for in the future. Each time she put in her toast or turns on the coffee pot she'll think of you! Trust me it will really help her out too!

I wouldn't do the movie thing, then you aren't really spending quality time together, just sitting next to each other staring at a screen. Get mani/pedis together, go shopping, and/or have lunch. Maybe you could make a special scrapbook of old photos and memories that she could take with her.

From my own very own adventure i'm greater demanding of your Chihuahuas. i don't be conscious of you nor how your dogs have been knowledgeable or what they're like, yet generally Chihuahuas are badly socialised and get extremely nippy, and that i might in prevalent be greater mushy around a Pit Bull. those dogs sound outstanding. medical care dogs could do lots and if your daughter has grew to become a sort of dogs into one what a ultimate dogs. additionally, what a super breed recommend! Them residing with you will provide help to work out that what the media makes out to be vicious, bloodthirsty killers are something yet. Given the main appropriate education and socialisation, like various dogs could get, they alter into amazing puppy dogs. I artwork at a kennels and alter into immediately priviledged sufficient to get to truly meet a Pit Bull. a eye-catching, friendly, chuffed dogs who merely had to make acquaintances. they're amazing dogs, and surely you might have a super learning adventure with them. particular, some Pits have been bred for dogs combating, and sturdy breeders and proprietors are desperately attempting to reproduce this out. hence some can get nasty around different dogs. i'm not saying hers are like this, despite if it incredibly is accessible. yet merely supervise the dogs while they're together and merely look ahead to their reactions to one yet another and all could be high-quality.
