My dad a small lump on the upper part of his back. It can move a little bit but it doesnt hurt him. Its kind of hard and its under his skin. There is no redness or puss or nothing its just a lump under his skin but hes had it for a lil while. My mom keeps telling him to go to the doctor but he said it doesnt hurt or nothing. Does anyone have an idea what it could be?

Cancer its not!
It is more likely to be a benign cyst. These cyst from from a block hair or sweat follicle and are fill with a sebum ( cheesy substance) they are us ally completely encapsulated ( in a capsule like a balloon) ans so can be moved around under the skin.

If he goes to his local doctor an incision can be made with a scalpel or the insertion of a wide bore needle and the cyst drained and cleaned.

Get it done soon, as at sometime it will cause a problem and give pain of the highest magnitude. Clothing pressing on it will induce the pain and then he will think he has something nasty!

A traditional doctor or dermatologist would be the best place to get it checked out.

Most likely it is a lipoma. Lipomas are benign, non cancerous tumors, composed of fatty tissue. They can be soft, are movable, and painless. They usually grow on the trunk of the body.

Most likely the growth is triggered by some kind of minor injury in that area of the body, but the cause of these types of growths is not known.

They can be removed through minor surgery or liposuction. It may or may not grow back. Depends on the person.

I had a lump like at the base of my neck over to the right side. you couldn't really see it, but you could feel it. It was cancer. Hodgkin's Lymphoma. Don't take chances or waste time guessing what it could be. Have your Dad go to the doctor so you and your Mom can have peace of mind.

Does he sit up straight because if he doesn't its probably just a back problem and should see a chromatic instead of a doctor.
