It's always best practice to consult the manual for any questions you might have, as suggested. Most manufacturers also have 1800 numbers if you have product questions. That being said, I've left mine on all day for well over a year now (since last Christmas) without any problems whatsoever. The displays can handle it and will perform dutifully for years.

Energy makes energy, your photoframe needs some energy from batery for its LCD, side effect of continous use is heat, if you leave it on 24/7, im sure it will burnout within weeks.
I suggest you only play it when you at home, so no energy wasted.
Some digital frame has timer function, it may helps you saving energy and itself!

It should be ok. Thats what it's made for. Plus, its probably Liquid Crystal Display, which means it doesn't even use the heat-producing parts that typically cause a burn-out.
