Yup, you can either plug in a rumbler (for controller rumble) or a memory stick (for saved games and profiles).

yes, you can insert a memory card or a rumble pak into it, as for your expansion pak, there is a small compartment on the front part of the N64, it should have a clip that will come off remove a chip that look just like it and replace it with the expansion pak.

it's for the rumble pack and for the game boy thing. so that you could play your pokemon from yellow, red, blue, ect in the pokemon game that came out for the 64. or you could even just plug it that gameboy thing and play your gameboy pokemon game on the big screen.
I don't remember the 64 ever needing a memory card. but it's been many years now.
and the expansion pack goes into the console, not the controller. theres a little compartment somewhere on the top of the console that you open and plug in the pack

Yes, that slot is for a memory card. You really need one with N64 because you will not be able to save without one.

Yea when I play my N64 Perfect Dark I had rumble packs and 4 memory cards. Wow didn't know anyone ever played it still. Good for you keep it because when I get old the N64 will be my "NES" and "Atari."
