is it bad to not be friends with someone because other people would judge you?

If that's the only reason not to be friends with them, then yes it is bad. It makes you just as bad as the people that are judging.

That is bad! Friends are their for what each of you gets from the friendship, not for others. You should never base your friendships on what others think, you could miss out on meeting some great people in life! Popularity will not help you enjoy life, and lets face it Friends are a big part of our lives, and friendships last forever, someones opinion disappears quickly!
