why as Americans are we putting up with this BS? Mexico is a third world country and full of corruption the likes never seen before in human history and yet Bush and the congress wink when they cross the border and medals are given out to National Guard troops when they run away from intruders what kind of a retarded country are we living in?

If any of you lived in Southern California you would know what I am talking about. Most of you probably live in Maine or north Dakota or some other out of the way place. I have lived in Calif. for almost 50 years and have seen the situation get so bad that half of the hospitals have been shut down because of the illegals. I am tired of paying other peoples bills.

I wanted to email about 4 of you people that are calling me names and telling me to get over it. I cannot email you because you do not allow email from other yahoo members. I think that is very cowardly.

To begin with-this problem is not new.- the phenomenon you are observing-has been going on all of my life-(I am 71 yrs. old). The need for someone to do dirty work-overrides the collective conscience of all Americans; We collectively-indirectly continue to make it possible by providing jobs for the illegals.. Because these Mexicans and other less publicized minorities do the nasty work that others refuse to do-is precisely why they come. They get a foothold and then they don't want to leave. The other more important aspect of this problem is that Mexico-is dumping their excess humanity and its social problems on the U.S. - This single fact and our corrupt Govt. Officials from the President down continue to look the other way (regardless of what they say)-while the problem deepens into what has become a crisis. The more easy it becomes for Corporate America to continue getting -corporate welfare-the more jobs will be shipped overseas. The end result will be the destruction of the American middle class-together with the Trade Unions that gained financial parity for workers in the last Century. When this happens we will be reduced to a third world status ourselves.

I live in Southern California and this country has always had people from other countries. Mexico is the closest so most are from there.
If we are going to compete with countries like China economically we are going to need as many people as possible.
That fact we cannot protect our borders is because our current President has a corporate agenda and not one of protecting it's people. Our health care system is plagued by people that don't have insurance and can't pay their bill. I am white and all my white friends have bilked the local hospital out of hundreds of thousands of dollars. Nobody can pay those kind of bills no you or a illegal immigrant.

Bush is offering Workers Visa's to come and work in the US but the Mexicans want the American dream. but all the government is giving them the Mexican Dream with money they made in America. Thus the Mexicans dont have to pay taxes and when they are done working they go back to Mexico. I think this is the great mind at work if you dont see it then open you r mind. but this is need to also keep the Mexicans out of the US and now that is something we are failing very very bad at. I live in Texas and I am of Mexican descent. I am educated with a degreee from one of the best universities in the world. My dad. who is second generation has an MBA from UT and worked for Exxon for the last 30 years.
