I love American Idol. It makes me laugh so hard in the bigging.Sometimes i think Simon is to harsh, but i crack up when he makes fun of the really bad singers. Well that's not the only thing; i like to see the competition and see who goes on to the next round. I get eager to see who the next American idol is.

I hate it, and I'm pretty sure it's doing terrible things to the music industry. Kids want to get on American Idol and have a record deal handed to them instead of working hard and learning to perform. If these people were any good, they'd be able to land a record deal without the show. The only thing that comes out of AI is more of the same unoriginal pop-singer garbage.

To be honest, I'm not really into the show. I liked the first show with Kelly Clarkson and the one with Carrie Underwood but I'm not that interested in it anymore. I feel that they tend to capitalize more on the poor people who cannot sing for their "America's Worst Idol" DVD moments. It's sad really. Imagine getting the guts to drive across the US for a chance at auditioning. You sleep outside in a tent for days before they round you up with a group of others. Then, half asleep with an exhausted voice and tired body, you get up in front of the worlds toughest voice critic and then get slammed on national TV. Then the DVD comes out and you are spotlighted as one of the worst singers on the show. I feel for those people. At least they tried. I'm just not that into the show anymore. But I do love Kelly Clarkson's music. She is definitely a true talent. She would have made it with or without the show though.

Is anyone else addicted?....You bet!...about half the nation. It keeps one's mind off of politics.
By the way, Simon is not mean. He's just a straight-shooter. We have become so politically correct and afraid to rattle anyone's self esteem, that we no longer know how to be direct. People are so engrossed in themselves to the extent that because they think they sound operatic in the shower, they have talent. Simon just lets them know that they do not.

I generally watch the beginning up so i will make relaxing of the human beings who can't sing. Then while they get right down to the finals, i will supply up gazing through fact it get's lame. what's up with Simon's Cowell's t-shirts. He has the two short and long sleeve in the same 2 colorations; black and white.

I dont really get into reality shows i think there could be so many better things on. They only make them cuz they are cheap to make and everyone will watch them and they reap untold benefits.
