Can anybody tell me which is better?? And, if I opt to use liquid foundation, can I not put on lose powder?? If I don't do so, what will happen? Will it be very ugly, or oily?

what is your skin type? if you are oily to combination skin i suggest a two way like Mac studio fix powder foundation. it covers well and evens out skin tone while its wet and it also can be used as a face powder for touch up. if you have dry skin liquid foundation might be good for you. however since it is water based you will need to touch up with some loose powder. setting your foundation with powder isn't a bad idea. in fact it well help it stay on longer.go the mac counter they have both of the items you are asking about. have them demonstrate and ask for some samples. my personal choice is liquid because its more blendable and versatile, always follow up with a face powder too. i use mac studio fix liquid foundation with spf then brush some of the studio fix powder foundation. i always believe that liquid foundation is more natural looking...

I'd say to use cover girl liquid-powder foundation, because with just liquid foundation it tends to make your skin more oily, and just powder fondation makes your skin dry. I guess it depends on your type of skin.

Two-way? I'm not a fan!

What you can do is wear a normal liquidish foundation (like Rimmel Long Lasting Finish), and NOT wear powder on top.

You can also wear .. something like BareMinerals powder alone or the foundation with it on top

I think wearing foundation alone (and finding one to last) is better then wearing both... cause the foundation is easier to put on, and you wont need to put it on EVERYWHERE anyway.

after you put on liquid foundation, you can apply loose powder. Just put a light layer of powder, so it looks natural and not caked on.
