If you were to adopt a child, would you adopt a child of your own race/ethnicity or a child with a different race/ethnicity. Lots of people are adopting from China or South America right now, but I'm really wondering about white people adopting African-American children from the U.S. Also, I'm asking African-Americans if they would adopt white children. Would you? What's your reasoning?

For me personally, it wouldnt matter. A child in need, needs a mother indeed. ok that was corny, but seriously, if someone wants to adopt, for whatever their reasons are, it shouldnt matter, a child needs a good home whether they are chocolate, caramel, or vanilla. To lend a hand out and say you want to adopt should also mean that you are willing to take in a CHILD. not to dig deeper than that a child is a child, and every child needs love. Everyone knows how to love, so share that love!!

Kids are great. If I didn't already have four of them running around I would adopt.

I'm not sure what I'd base the decision on, but it wouldn't be based on race.

Your questions conveys that you have deep seated
racist views. Particularly to black people. white or black , or
whatever people that adopt children from other ethnic back
grounds with motives to provide and orphan child a good
home would not be able to explain their thought process
or feelings to you. Your mind/heart doesn/t have the capability
of understanding. Someone like you wouldn't have a clue.

Children are children - and color doesn't come into it as far as I'm concerned.
