I am 36 and for the first time am having what I'm assuming is PMS 8 days before my period is due, it's usually 4-5 at the most! And I'm having symptoms I've never had before. My breasts are killing me, I'm nauseaous, I've been moody for the last couple days, real bad! I know what you're thinking, pregnant, and I've thought that too, but my husband's doctor only gave him a 10% chance to have kids and we've been having unprotected sex for 10 months now! I already have 4 kids from a previous marriage, and have always gotten pregnant any time we had unprotected sex. So I find it hard to believe I'm pregnant now. Any suggestions or comments? To early to test!

my pms has changed dramatically over the years. I've also found that it is worse in the winter than it is in the other seasons. Last year I was convinced I had PMDD. I had severe PMS symptoms for two weeks out of every month and it wouldn't go away until about the third day of my period. my cycle length also changed during that time. there are alot of things you can naturally do to ease the symptoms. Take a b-complex supplement, exercise, eat healthy, and make sure you are getting at least 15 minutes of direct sunlight per day (because sunlight helps your body produce seratonin. a lack of this hormone has been linked to pms, pmdd, and depression). Those things made a HUGE difference for me. My pms became almost nonexistent (except for the grumpiness!).

BUT you could also be experiencing very early pregnancy symptoms. I know I did. I also thought I had an early case of it myself but ended up with a positive pregnancy test instead of my period :)

All you can really do is wait it out and take good care of yourself in the mean time. :)

My periods changed after I had my first child. I would have to guess pregnancy. It doesnt matter how easy you got pregnant with your first children. I have a 10 yr old and it took 7 yrs of trying before we got our next one. Then we tried again and got twins on the first try. My husband had the mumps as a teenager as was also given low chances. I would definitely test for pregnancy as soon it is possible. There are some tests you can buy that you can take earlier than your missed period. I hope this helps.

Oh man i know how you feel! I'm 38 and have been having the same issues! I could have sworn up and down I was pregnant!( having had 3 kids before i kinda knew) I know im going to get my FSH levels checked , maybe you should too. Not to scare you or anything , but it could be perimenopause-- which I have found out could start at age 35.

Well the best person to ask would be your doctor. I have never had my symptoms change until after I had my daughter. Instead of getting cramps I get headaches and some times violent migraines.

10% chance? Unprotected Sex? All it takes is one sperm. YES...your cycle will change! It's not too early to study menopause just to understand what your body is doing. There's great books out there and get one that recommends herbs....and start taking them.
