I know it seems like most packages/envelopes, e.t.c. are shipped with clear tape on them, but I have like a huge roll of white tape but I don't have any clear tape. And I had 2 envelopes from packages I recieved before, and I have already put 2 items that I want to ship into the 2 envelopes and used white tape to reseal them. I also used white tape to tape a piece of paper on which I wrote the return address in the upper left corner and another in the middle to write the sending address on either of the 2 envelopes. I basically just want to know if it is ok to ship an item like this (with white tape) because it does look a little strange to me even though I taped it neatly. I don't want to go to the post office and have them tell me that I can't ship it like that.

I dont know that I would it may stand out and security may think that is not safe.
If I were you I would send my box with clear tape just to be on the safe side.
Take care

It's totally fine.
You should see the state of some of the things that have been sent to me. I notice a lot of blue tape.

If in doubt phone a post office before you go to post it.b They will know for sure.
But the tape doesn't affect its sending in any way so you have nothing to worry about.
If it's packaged badly, too much tape or something, the post office might pop it into another envelope for transit (they won't open it).

I get packages that are just wrapped in newspaper with string tied around them and stuff like that. *rolls eyes* :)
I agree with the others though, if you are sending it through customs it would be best if it blended in and looked plain. Just stick it in a bigger paper envelope to cover all the tape.

No, for that sounds like the wrong type of tape.

Clear tape or fiber tape is what they prefer, or they can send you away of compel you to buy a roll of the proper tape
