Singapore has been a multiracial country since the beginning of its creation by Sir Stanford Raffles.
Main racial groups comprises of the Chinese, Malays, Indians and Eurasians.
In recent years, due to an influx of foregin talents, Singapore citizens are worried about their rice bowls and the increase in competition for work positions. This is why Singaporeans look racist to many countries.

I do not deny Singapore is not racist, we do have some form of dislike for other races probably in our hearts. Even in other country this is prevalent, eg: USA, white VS blacks, you get my picture.
What Singaporeans do have is a high tolerance of other races and religions, and it has been acustomed to the daily Singaporean life.

When there are different races, there will be discrimination, no matter where you are. No one can change every single person's mindset and no one can stop from discriminating other races.

Now, the main thing is whether this discrimination is kept to the minimum. For Singapore, racism and discrimination are kept to the bare minimum. No doubt there will be still small number of people practicing racism and discrimination.

It is the fact that Chinese makes up major population in Singapore but this does not mean that they discriminate the minorities. Walk along any part of Singapore, you will see Chinese mixing around with other races in harmony. This simply says everything.

Wait,

Singapore is not a racist society... Look.... We have been working so well together as a nation and we are consider top countrys among the world....

What make Singapore so popular? Because Chinese, Malay and indian etc works together... I can see Malay and Chinese or Chinese and Indian talking so friendly in public....

If Singapore is RACIST country, Singapore will not achieved so much already....

But due to the 70% CHinese in Singapore.... Many company are Chinese company.. So some other race will learn Chinese and i have many non-chinese friends speaking Chinese also....

We are one Singapore.... I love my other race friends....

As the majority Chinese in Singapore, Muslim in Singapore doesn;t have to pay much on education... and the goverment takes really good care of all races... i agree with that.. that's why you don;t see any fights between races in singapore,,,,

Yes... it's a very racist place actually... I lived there the last 3 years of my life- Unless you are ethnically Chinese or incredibly rich you will be treated as second class or worse... It's a very ugly society even those who are not openly racist are very rude. I blame their upbringing, it's normal for them to cut you off on the road, in line, or mid sentence. They will not say excuse me, or apologize even when standing on-top of your shoes on the train (happened to me once a week). The country went from 3rd world to first world too fast. A large portion of Chinese Singaporeans employ "maids" from the Philippines. They use them to take care of their young and old, but these maids are beaten both in private and in public... Nobody blinks when it happens, they treat them like dogs and the youth learn their racism all over again while being treated like a prince or princess. I tell everyone who asks about what I saw when I lived there, and advise them not to step foot on that island. I remember seeing poles on Channel News Asia while I was there, Singapore ranked as the least friendly nation, and another study reported that people in Singapore smile the least amount. The country is less than 50 years old and most of them are themselves immigrants. Despite this they are very quick to defend their national pride, they are fed lots of nationalistic messages through their one media giant. Everyday they hear how great Singapore is on TV, radio, and in the newspaper. As an outsider it's obvious brainwashing, but they don't know any better. So on-top of it all they can be quite arrogant too! They have no issues telling you why their country is superior to yours and will point out factoids they recently heard from the government run media...

No, I think Singapore is NOT a racist country. Singapore consists of so many nationalities and we've been living together in this society for almost 42 yrs peacefully.

Maybe in different races' hearts, there maybe some small unpleasant feelings towards other races but then we don't fight over or create riots in the community. So I believe Singapore is a great country to live in. And because we're a multi-national and multi-racial country, we get to taste so many nice delicacies, get to learn different cultures and speak multi-languages from all over the world and in fact, it is a bless to all Singaporeans and the foreign talents who join us.

Chinese population is the dominant race in Singapore, followed by Malays and Indians, then minority races as Westerners, Thais, Filippinos, Indonesians etc.

Come to visit Singapore yourself and see with your own eyes, rather than hearsays or rumours spreading around. And you shall believe in what we say.

Singapore is not racist, though there may be some racist people in Singapore, but the whole country is not racist. It is a multicultural country with people of many different races and religions. The people have accepted others, of various backgrounds and such, as part of their country.

There are racists everywhere all over the world. But Singapore, on the whole, appears to be more tolerant and accepting of people with diverse ethnicities and religions. Let's face it, Singapore is such a small country with such a big population that everyone just has to learn to get along otherwise there'd be chaos everywhere!

Well, when you really look at it you get racism everywhere in the world.

I've been to Singapore couple of times and I have experienced racism but I wouldn't say that Singapore is anymore racist than any other multi-cultural country.
