me! when I was very small...4 or 5, I painted my bedroom. I don't remember, but I was told that when I ran out of space at my level, I climbed the furniture for more 'canvas'...we lived in an apartment so they had to paint when we moved and my mom said she cried...

Hell no. My mom would have beat my a** if I drew on the wall. No matter how old I was. She is very protective of the houses she buys. She is also very stingy with money, except for all the things she buys.

No, they never let me, But if I had an extra room in the house I would make it an art room for my kids. I would let them be creative with paints to draw on the walls. But that would be the only place of course.

My Dad used to hang HUGE sheets of parcel wrap (that brown paper) up in our rooms.. and we went nuts. Drawing, painting, I even remember some really fun relief stuff in paper mache.

NO. I was taught that any destruction or defacing of anothers property or belongings was wrong and disrespectful. Doing so was punishable by my parents or the LAW.
