Everyone has an Ipod not because it is cool or a fad; It really is the most functional and easy to use MP3 player. It is the most universally known and used so transferring files and tech support is really going to be a snap. Anyone would be silly to call ipods a terrible electronic.
As far as price range goes, they can be steep. I would never think of paying $300 for a music player, but it really does get the job done when you are bored as heck. Especially with the videos, when you can sit on the bus or in you car watching your favorite tv show or movie. Anyway, The best way to get an affordable, and reliable ipod, is straight through apple.com . They have refurbished ipods who function the same as brand new ipods only at a fraction of the cost. They even come with a warranty and extended warranty options. I personally have a refurbished 30GB video ipod and it works great. Hope this helps.

If your not 100% into the video, just go for an IPOD Nano.
I resisted the IPOD nation, for a long time and tried a couple of MP3 players (both higher end and low end) and honestly I was not thrilled with them. My Ipod, however, I am completely addicted to and do not feel it is overated.
I'm the type of person that has ALOt of music and a lot of different music so i am constanty revising the content on my ipod, and it is very quick and easy. I have a 4GB Nano and that is plenty room (even though I think i want an 8GB or the larger Ipod videos, honestly that would be waaaaaaaay too much space for me and i'd be lost trying to pick something to listen to)

I pods are not mp3 gamers. Sorry to be pedantic, yet they do no longer play MP3s, that could be a type of format, they play music in Apples own format, AAC. for this reason, as they do no longer PLAY MP3s, they might no longer be called an MP3 participant. Sigh. I hate i pods, i myself do. they are overvalued, over rated, over simplified products of crap. It relies upon the form you think of of a device; in case you pick for form or function. The i pod is particularly aesthetically alluring, some might say even alluring. yet you're caught with AAC format, you cant replace (particularly) the battery after it is going interior 18 months, your caught with i tunes and each and all the topics which flow with it (look on the quantity of yahoo solutions problems). additionally, notice the variety of human beings who're crying 'I Pod concern' or desire help with i pod ASAP', as apposed to 'my MP3 participant isn't working'. in my opinion, any MP3 participant which takes an AAA battery and can acquire music from genuine participant is greater effectual than an i pod. and that they are in basic terms 30 quid! And in responce to an until now answer, as a client, we'd desire to continuously no longer be compelled into procuring yet another product, i.e an apple mac to apply with an i pod. the two products are un suitable and its in basic terms a manner of apple forcing people who like i pods, yet hate macs to % macs over %..

ipods are so overrated. people get them to be just like everyone else. First of all, they are just boring. Have you met anyone who wasn't bored of their ipod in a day?! I borrowed my friends and in a couple of hours i was bored of it. Small screen, scratches easily too, and has a boring design with little color (besides videos). Plus it's too sensitive! They get so slow too once too many songs are put into them. Look at other mp3 players and be more original, don't be another clone! get a zune or zen, way more interesting.

well i pods were overrated but now the new redesign ipods are very good they boosted them up,brighter sceen more hours it says 24 (but really like 16) and 4 gb you can listen to 1,000 songs and you can get it in three colors ( pink, blue, green,) or if you want to waist more money on the 8gb.You could also put up to 25,000 photos and its very sleek and very in. so its a must buy!
