You web-browser may not be set to display pictures. In Internet Explorer, go to Tools, Internet Options, and Advanced. Scroll about 2/3 of the way down through the list and make sure that "Show Pictures" is checked and hit Apply / OK. In Firefox, go to Tools, Options, Content and make sure "Load Images" is checked.
Alternatively, the picture links could be broken, but you can't fix that on your end.

it could be that the image of that webpage is unavailable, possibly due to it being updated or flat out not there. If this happens with multiple websites it could be a few things.
1: try a different web browser (Netscape, Mozilla, Opera) It could be that your current browser is corrupted.
2: If you are using a dialup modem with a bad connection speed it could cause your browser to give up loading pictures yet still display text.
3: If you have a web accelorator program that compresses images i would uninstall it. Then re-install it if you really want it.
