Hey I'm exactly the same as you! I'm 30 and most of my friends have settled down and are married with kids now and a mortgage. I couldn't think of anything worse than that to be honest! I've still got a lot of living to do without being tied down. I doubt if i'll ever settle down as that would be mind numbingly boring to me!

Why should they not?

No one says 'you have to,' so don't.

However, if you 'always' need to be doing something ~ as you paint the picture here: - dressing sexily ~ roller blading ~ dancing etc etc, perhaps you can ask yourself 'Why you need to do this!' What is it (if anything) that you are maybe avoiding through not 'settling down'?

Is it something to do with a 'fear' or an anxiety ~ about making a commitment, of having children or responsibilities that your likely to have less control over than just yourself? of growing older?

There is no Rule that says you 'shall want or have any or each of these,' but they seem to not be within your sights, and it cant do you any harm just to ask yourself these questions - particularly as you began the ball rolling by asking the question yourself.

Good luck with it and them.
Sash.

There is nothing wrong with not settling down,
I've been married twice, engaged 3 times and I have 3 kids,
But I haven't had a night out in a year, I hardly get new clothes and all I get is moaned at.
If in 10 years time you are in the same situation I would then worry,
Til then have fun and loads of it

I GOT MARRIED IN APRIL... EVERYONE ALWAYS TOLD ME I DIDNT BELONG WITH 1 PERSON FOR THE REST OF MY LIFE, I HAD NEVER HAD THE SAME BOYFRIEND FOR MORE THAN A FEW MONTHS, AND IF I DID I EVENTUALLY CHEATED ON THEM, IT'S TOUGH SETTELING DOWN AND SOME PEOPLE ARE JUST NOT MENT TO DO IT, ME, I HAVE CUT MYSELF OFF COMPLETELY FROM THE OPPOSITE SEX, I HAVENT SEEN A GUY THAT I HAVE BEEN ATTRACTED TO IN OVER 6 MONTHS BUT TO DO THAT I HAVE COMPLETELY SACRIFICED EVERYTHING! I HAVENT LEFT THE HOUSE IN WEEKS! I GOT A JOB ONLINE AND I NEVER LEAVE THE COMFORT OF MY HOME!!!! I WANT TO BE FAITHFUL! AND THAT FEELS LIKE THE ONLY WAY! SOMETIMES THAT'S JUST WHAT IT TAKES FOR PEOPLE TO SETTLE DOWN! ME AND MY HUSBAND HAVE BEEN TOGETHER FOR A YEAR AND 10 MONTHS! AND I'VE BEEN 100% FAITHFUL!!!

Why should you settle down? It's not all about meeting someone, having kids and getting a mortgage. Life is about enjoying yourself and doing things that you want to do. I feel sorry for your friends with their boring lives. You should keep doing the things you love!

well, i am 37 and have 3 children, but it doesn't mean we do not have fun - we go skating, skiing, bowling, etc, with my husband who is 50 we go out every week to restaurant to eat and then to night club dancing all night. i dress sexy and look great and have the most perfect butt and my elder son looks like my elder brother. if u re married it doesn't mean u should look bad or be bored. i am sorry that all your relatives are, but it isn't a must. u probably can't find your soul mate

People are different.Who knows why life works out the way it does, could be settling down is not in your cards or maybe you're a late bloomer.Either way enjoy your life, lots of people would trade with you if they could.

I don't think it's a big deal, you should do what feels right for you!As long as you enjoy doing what your doing and are sure you will be able to look back w/o any regrets, have fun!

maybe because, your afraid to grow up, and be the women you should. And if you don't soon, you may find yourself alone It could also be ,you want men to notice you ,because, you made fade into just a memory
