Are video tape rental shops still in business or have they switched to dvds?

Do people still rent movie in the form of video tapes these days, or has everyone switched to dvds?

some vhs are still being made especially in the porn market. DVD's have taken over in most markets.

Yes there are still prehistoric people who enjoy both for what ever the reason..Mine is my mother can not handle the cd/dvds very well .. a vhs tape is much easier to handle/operate...But they are so hard to find these days from Rental Store..Someone recently was selling over 1500 Tapes , don,t have the cash or space..
and you?? Do you Still view them?? There are some 'Classics'.

They have both, although there's more DVD's. Some movies aren't available in DVD form, so they rent the video instead.

Also I like to buy them at thrift stores, and cd shops- cheap and still good. DVD is not always the best- I like the feel of the old VHS sometimes- nostalgia I guess

There are a couple of rental shops near me. They have some of both, but of course all of the new releases are on dvd.

some controversy in this ripping subject. some companies like the RIAA declare that every time you reproduction only somewhat media, even a action picture you already paid for, that that's a contravention of copyright regulations. Macworld, on the different hand, claims that this is all good to reproduction media you have already paid for. Who is attentive to. it ought to be distinction for differnt countries.
