If you dont want to spend more than 30 euros to taxi, you ll take the metro till Monastiraki. Then you change and you take that one (in the same station)which goes to airport..it is just 6 euros..it leaves you inside of the airport. It depends on where you are in Peireus. If you are in Faliro, or the central tation, but it doesnt matter, the result is the same

you can take the taxi there....at the airport there usually are several around or have been every year when I am there
Note: After reading all the other answers want to put this note in. While most use the buses and metro as a quick means and cost less, I, myself, when alone over there I just use the taxi and don't have to worry over finding my correct destination with changing metros or buses. I was only overcharged one time on a taxi going to Piraeus to a business. Only with my Greek friends with me do I use the other means. The taxi cost me 10 euros from downtown Athens to the business in Piraeus.

I was in Greece in 1994, and I think we took a taxi from Athens Airport to Piraeus Port.

I think that the best and cheaper way is to use the metro. It will cost you only 6 euros per person and you will be at Piraeus in about an hour.
To go faster you may get a taxi, but you 'ld better book it online so as to know from the beggining what the cost will be and avoid over charging. There is a link for that:

Don't take a bus. It's such a trouble!

hi expensive! there is universal bus connecting Piraeus port with Athens airport! It value 3.10 Euro and takes, counting on the time, approximately 60 minutes. Day time table has extra departures consistent with hour, in spite of if it lakes slightly longer! Taxi might value approximately ten instances extra and a pair of million/2 an hour! I specially use this bus!

There is a bus line just outside the exit hall, number E9 which goes directly to the Port, it takes approx. 70 mins (depending on the trafficic) and the ticket is very cheap. Once you get on the pavement, look on your right and you will see two buses: one to Athens and another one to Piraeus. If you cannot trace them, just ask a porter.

Take the Metro train from the airport and stop at Metro station "MONASTIRAKI". At this station you can change to the electric railway towards Piraeus.

Take the subway to Monastiraki and from there another one to the airport. Of course, you can always get a cab if you want to go there directly.
