I've always liked Julia or Julie because it's my beautiful mother's name. It's a friendly sounding name, too, and I think a lady either old or young could carry it well.
Seeing or hearing "Julie" makes me think of a short little lady with bright blue eyes who drinks lots of coffee and bakes amazing bread. But that's just my gut reaction, from being around her so much.
