Q: why does the human mind ( within the limitation of thought) always enjoy a happy ending?

And I mean within the viewpoint of every thought, and every category. Even within the attributes of giving an answer, why does the mind always come up with some hopeless viewpoint, and at the end, they finish it off with some wishey washy “golden rule” Doesn’t anyone want something new? I have discovered throughout my 20 years of living and studying this universe that this is the most peculiar attribute. Can anyone help?

Not me I am demented. I always root for the bad guy in movies just because that isn't how it always is in the real world.
