when i go to "save and quit" setting it suddenly hangs-up!..what im trying a to say is that i didnt save the settings that i made!!pls help..it freeze..

it is possible that your bios chip might be bad. it could be a bad chip or a short in the bios chip. have someone check your bios chip or if it is integrated with the mother board, have the board checked out.

What exactly are you changing in the settings? the only thing that should need to be changed is the time. everything else should be automatic.. Did you get the exact same battery? If make sure you put it in the right way...
You shouldent have to enter the bios to save the settings..
Unplug the pc,Take the battery out press the power button and wait for at least two mins. reinstall the battery, plug the pc back in, and power up. you should get a beep and a screen that says system clock not set press F1 to save, press F1, you may get other beeps where you have to press F1 just keep doing it and let windows load... when you see your desktop change your clock settings to the current time and date.... you should be good to go....

Sometimes it takes a long time to boot when you change your battery... Do you have anything special that you installed? a new graphix card? I know some pc's only have PCI settings in the default bios, and if you want to use a AGP Card you have to set it to AGP.. In this case look instide your case and see if your graphix card is plugged into a PCI Slot (There is useually three or 4 of these) or a brown AGP slot, some have colored PCI slots it will not be as tall as a AGP slot, A AGP slot is about 1/2 inch tall A colored PCI slot is about a quarter inch tall.. Set the bios accordingly..
